Our Child Protection Team

Child Protection Officer

Katarina Miksits has been the diocese’s Child Protection Officer since 1 January 2025. She holds overall responsibility for child protection work, and her main task is to ensure that the diocese’s contingency plan against abuse is made known and practically implemented in all contexts where activities with children and young people take place.

 

Child Protection Consultants

To assist her, the Child Protection Officer has two local Child Protection Consultants who work part-time in the diocese’s regions:

  • Pettar Bajlovic is the Child Protection Consultant for the deaneries of Örebro, Gothenburg, Malmö, and Norrland. Telephone: 070-258 81 85.

  • Maria Riemslag is the Child Protection Consultant for the Stockholm deanery together with Katarina Miksits, who is also responsible for the Jönköping deanery. Maria can also be reached at 070-594 88 98.

The Child Protection Consultants are responsible for training and inspections in their respective areas.

The Child Protection Team together with our former Child Protection Officer deacon Björn Håkonsson who was in charge from 2019 to 2025.
